Photo Essay: Monument Valley

Monument Valley. Photo by Irvin Lin of Eat the Love.

Lately my partner A. J. and I have been suffering a bit of wanderlust. A.J. is finally recovering from his terrible cycling accident from this past summer and has been back on bike for short little rides. I’ve been staring at my computer screen, doing last minute edits for my cookbook as well as trying to keep up with NaBloPoMo where I post every single day for the month of November. And as the month comes to close and December is around the corner, I find my mind wandering to the time when AJ and I were on the road, stopping at random places we drove by. The perfect example of this is Monument Valley, a beautiful area near the border of Arizona and Utah and part of the Navajo Nation. We didn’t plan on stopping but we’re so glad we did. Here’s a few photos from our archive. Hopefully we can hit the road again sometime soon until then…

My hubby and I visited for a few days a few years ago during a 10-day road trips. I love roadtrips which is why I am about to do a year-long one in the new RV. We will be visiting Monument Valley and can’t wait to see it again. You took some great shots!

What awesome photos! Thank you for sharing. It’s always a motivation for others. I like to travel a lot even when I was a student, for me traveling with friends was always important. Maybe because I know that https://ca.edubirdie.com/accounting-help can take care of my assignment till the deadlines and I will be ready with my works for the teachers. To see the world and understand different cultures is much important.

"Mr. Lin, a graphic designer in San Francisco who writes the food blog Eat the Love, takes risks in nearly every one of the 150 elaborate recipes in his book. He doesn’t just paint the lily; he bejewels and shellacs it, too."
–MELISSA CLARK for the New York Times

“My goodness, this cookbook! It’s filled to the brim with recipes for the most splendidly beautiful cakes, cookies, breads, and tarts I think I’ve ever seen. My eyes kept getting wider and wider as I turned every page—both the flavor combinations and the photos are out of this world. Irvin Lin has most definitely outdone himself. This book is a triumph!”
—REE DRUMMOND, New York Times best-selling author of The Pioneer Woman Cooks

“Irvin Lin gives home-baked treats a twist, ramping them up with a range of contemporary flavors that are sure to surprise and delight. From beer-battered brownies to smoky butterscotch taking a classic cake to the next level, I can’t wait to mix, stir, and bake my way through Marbled, Swirled, and Layered!”
