“All I have to do now is find a mask…” emailed my friend Stephanie, sending me into a slight panic state. I hadn’t paid too much attention to the invite that my friend Peter had sent me for his 40th birthday party. Peter is notorious for throwing thematic parties, and for his milestone 40th, he had sent an invite for a party inspired by Truman Capote’s Party of the Century. A black and white gala, I hadn’t realized that the Party of the Century was actually a masquerade ball as well (damn you Truman Capote! I shake my fist at you!) This meant Peter’s party would also be full of masked attendees. Of course, with Peter and his friends involved, that would also mean lot of a fabulous food, fabulous drinks and fabulous drag outfits. AJ and I opted out of doing drag, but thankfully we both had tuxedos (that we customized) to wear to the party. And, as a last minute addition, I found a mask at the local costume shop, imported from Italy. Happy birthday Peter!

Wow, that looked like a great party. The last photo makes me laugh, I think I’ve seen that exact same scene at the end of just about every party I’ve been too.

ABFAB!! I think my favorite is the one where there are four men chatting, everyone in “regular” clothing except for one guy wearing a mask….but your trousers, my dear, were inspired. What fun.

Very debonair, all of you. And whooaa, Steven! And AWESOME cape and belt and whole ensemble, Robert!!
Get down, git down! There was even dancing!! As if getting everyone to go all out dressing up wasn’t enough! I love it when people play together.

And of course that photo of AJ is just the BEST.

Oh my god, Peter’s outfits (especially that first one) are AH-MAZING! And Mr. Reigns’s bodysuit boggles the mind. So sad that we missed it.
