“It’s totally up to you. We can go or we can go home.” AJ said to me, leaving me with the final decision. I hemmed and hawed and said “Let’s just go home…” until my FOMO kicked in when all my friends said they were going. I never had a huge desire to go to the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa. Growing up, I certainly enjoyed reading my Peanuts cartoon and the day after Thanksgiving I always found myself glued to the TV, watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. But it never occurred to me to make a pilgrimage to the museum for the man who drew the cartoon, no matter how influential he was in the artform. In the end, I had no regrets for caving into my FOMO as the museum itself gave me a newfound appreciation for a master storyteller who dedicated his life to bringing joy to the millions that read his artwork.

This post made me so happy! I had absolutely no idea that this museum existed. The Peanuts comic strip has such a special place in my heart, as I know it does many people. I am going to have to add this museum to my ever-growing list of places to visit. Thanks for sharing such a happy thing with your readers!

Why doesn’t Charlie Brown’s helmet protect his ears!! That’s what makes him so cute and eager-looking when he gets suited up, and I never noticed that before! Thanks for posting these pictures!
And is that Steven Reigns I see in one of the pictures?
Love the one of you handing a cookie to Snoopy, with Woodstock right behind you. I want to hang out on a bench with them.
I thought I had been here, but now I see I haven’t. Did this collection once have a temporary home in SF that we all went to? It was very cool . . .
