This photo essay showcases chefs, plated meals and desserts from the Meals on Wheel’s Star Chefs and Vintner’s Gala, SF’s premiere food fundraising event.
Even though I already wrote and shared some of the photos from the Meals on Wheels Star Chefs and Vintners’ Gala in a previous post, the reality is I could probably fill this a month worth of blog entries with all the food and photos I took from the event. With over 100 chefs serving and making appetizers, 3-course meals and desserts, the food was bountiful as well as beautiful. My previous post mostly showed the appetizers but the work and effort involved in putting on the event, including creating and plating the 3-course meal for all the guests, as well as breakdown and setting up the desserts is worth sharing as well. If you have a chance, support the hard-working chefs and restaurants as well as wineries and bartenders that make this event so spectacular. They deserve it.
Special thanks to Charles Zukow Associates and Meals on Wheels San Francisco for providing us press tickets to cover the gala. I was not monetarily compensated for this post, though the tickets were provided to us both. All opinions listed above are my own.

Ahhh, the shots of these plates and plates all lined up are awe-inspiring Irvin. So amazing. I can see why you went shutter-clicking crazy! The colors and the concentration on the chefs’ faces. What a cool photo essay.

Great shots. Looks like such a fun event with so much yumminess. I’ve done quite a few of these huge event type work and it can get pretty hectic, but they’re fun to do. Your photos take me back to those days. Personally, I hate being photographed when I am in action! – no make up and I just look a mess…but that is just me.
